Learn how to specify the IP address to connect to and Exception in Netskope. As a matter of course, an Exception from Netskope means that some monitoring and control of cloud services using Netskope's functionality will no longer be possible. (However, monitoring and control via other axes, such as API Introspection, will continue to be possible.
Step1. Create Network Location
1. Log in to the Management Console, go to [Policies] > [Network Location], and select [NEW NETWORK LOCATION] > [Single Object].
2. Enter the IP address you want to exclude, click [+], and then click [Next].
3. Enter a name for the Network Location with any value and click [SAVE NETWORK LOCATION].
Step2. Exception Setting
1. Go to [Settings].
2. Go to [Security Cloud Platform] > [Default tenant config] > [Exceptions].
3. Select [NEW EXCEPTION] > [Destination Locations].
4. [Specify the Network Location you have previously set in the Destination Locations field, and click "ADD".
Step3. Confirmation of operation
Before checking operation, verify that the configuration has been updated.
Click on "Configuration" from the Netskope icon on the device to be tested, and check that the time listed under Config Updated is the time after the Exception setting was made. If it shows "Update", click on it to update.
Once this is done, access the IP address you have set for Exception and check that there are no logs in the Netskope Management Console's [Scope IT].
